Our history
Straumfjorden has an old settlement dating back to the 17th century. Combined agriculture, forestry and fishing have been practiced here for many generations. Nils, the last big farmer lived here until he was 94 years old. Statsskog bought the property of 35,000 acres in 1993. The district's by far the largest private property. The building stock is today owned by us and rented out all year round.
